The Wisconsin Economic Development Association and statewide partners including the League of Municipalities, CarW, WEDC and WHEDA invite communities with designated Wisconsin Opportunity Zones to a full day workshop focused on preparing an Opportunity Zone Investment Prospectus.

The workshop will be held at the on February 6th, 2019 from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM at the Potawatomi Hotel & Casino (1611 W Canal Street, Milwaukee, WI 53233).  The goal of the day is to inform Wisconsin communities and their partners of the information requirements and potential financial tools available to better position their zones or specific properties for private investment.

While the workshop is focused on Opportunity Zones from a Community perspective, it is anticipated that the best outcomes of the workshop will be those communities or individuals that can be focused on a specific building, parcel or a specific community redevelopment plan that can be a catalyst in the zone.

The last portion of the workshop will allow the community to understand how different programs can potentially impact the project and the Return on Investment.  Each attendee or group of attendees should be focused on a specific parcel or project.
