SPEAKERS:

Andrew Kurtz, Planning & Community Development Manager.  Andy leads the Planning & Community Development team at Vierbicher Associates, Inc bringing 30 years of private and public sector experience to the group. Andy has extensive experience in the public sector developed during his nearly 10 years as Administrator in Marathon City where he led all aspects of a small municipal government. This includes public works, public safety, planning & zoning, economic development, tax increment financing, ordinance maintenance, public funding, municipal budgeting, human resources, government reporting & compliance and intergovernmental relations.


Mark Steward, AICP, Senior Community Development Consultant. Mark brings over 20 years of experience in Planning & Zoning and Municipal Administration to the table. His career has been marked by significant contributions in both public and private sectors, with a focus on economic development, grant writing, and administration. Mark is well-versed in writing and interpreting ordinances, codes, and laws, as well as in policy development and zoning enforcement.

His financial acumen is evident in his budget management and project management skills. Mark’s public sector experience includes six years as a City Administrator and eight years as a County Planning and Zoning Administrator. His expertise encompasses planning, zoning, tax incremental financing, and comprehensive plan development. Mark is dedicated to providing services that include grant writing, administration, and assisting with the interpretation and administration of zoning ordinances and codes.
