In this interactive 3-hour workshop, participants will explore the essentials of building economic and community development initiatives. Through engaging presentations by practitioners and consultants, attendees will learn how to form effective collaborations, conduct strategic planning, and identify and secure major funding opportunities. Real-world case studies and interactive exercises will guide participants in building partnerships, aligning projects with funder priorities, and crafting winning proposals. The session will also highlight challenges, best practices, and actionable strategies to ensure long-term sustainability and community impact. 
 
Who should attend: Practitioners, community leaders, local government officials, and other stakeholders interested in securing funding for economic and community development initiatives.

Refund policy: registrants may receive a  refund less a 25% handling fee up to 15 business days, prior to the Academy start date. To request a refund e-mail weda@weda.org.  After that date no refunds will be allowed, no exceptions. Registrants may however, transfer their registration to another individual without any fees.
