The Wisconsin Economic Development Association (WEDA) will host an in-person meeting to discuss existing models supporting single-family and multifamily affordable housing. This event will engage stakeholders working in rural, urban and non-metropolitan areas. On hand will be experts representing community organizations concerned with affordable housing, lenders serving low- and moderate-income populations, and local government leaders seeking to revitalize underutilized land. HMDA specialists will encourage you to form collaborations to spur home mortgage lending using this type of data for underserved markets. Two Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI's) working in the housing space will share strategies that can close the financial barriers many projects face. We will ask for your ideas and impressions to encourage you to replicate these funding models in your community or form partnerships focused on future affordable housing developments.

Who should attend: Financial institutions, CDFI’s, local and state government, non-profit and community-based organizations who are willing to increase awareness of effective CRA service, lending and investment opportunities that can improve housing access for low- and moderate-income people across Wisconsin.
